As Vasyl Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux prepare for the fight at Madison Square Garden, organizers expect quite a sell-out in this event. According to Bob Arum, the Ukrainian fighter’s promoter, as of early October, there are less than a hundred tickets left for sale.
‘It's going to be the biggest gate for boxing in the history of the Theater of Madison Square Garden (…) People respect the fact that this is a historic kind of fight. It's never happened before: two, two-time gold medalists fighting each other is something that is extremely unique and so people want - and they can it at home and watch it for free, go to a bar and watch it for free - but people want to be there,’ Arum told BoxingScene, answering the question about the reason for such huge interest in the bout.
The minimal ticket price for Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux is USD 56; the fight is slated for December 9.
