WBA lightweight champion of the world Vasyl Lomachenko goes for an arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder. ESPN reported that on Wednesday.
It appears that the boxer injured his shoulder in the fight against Jorge Linares on May 12.
'I could not use my right hand at full power, it was totally uncomfortable to keep on fighting', Lomachenko said as quoted by the U.S. sports outlet.
The surgeon said that Lomachenko suffered a shoulder dislocation, with a considerable instability in the right shoulder. 'This is the most common trauma, which needs careful treatment... and it will be fine', he said.
