WBA/WBC/WBO and Ring lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) and IBF titleholder Teofimo Lopez Jr. (15-0, 12 KOs), have officially signed their contracts for a long-awaited unification bout.
The official Twitter account of Top Rank Boxing (a promotional company that represents both the fighters - 112 International.) published photos with Lomachenko and Lopez Jr. putting their signatures.
The fight is scheduled for October 17. The additional information about the bout itself is expected tomorrow, on September 9.
As we reported earlier, Ukrainian boxer Sergiy Derevyanchenko is going to challenge American Jermall Charlo for his WBC middleweight title on September 26.
It will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
I am fully focused on the fight. The task is to enter the ring and take the title from him. I rely on my experience. I do not that it will be the main key to victory. No, I am not saying that Charlo has nothing to offer me. We will go to the ring and find out everything there. My task is to follow the strategy for the fight. I know that he is ready for us. I am going to do everything I have to. If there is a chance to knock him out - I will definitely go for it. If I have to go through all 12 rounds, I will do my best to convince the judges this time that I won honestly and without any doubts," Derevyanchenko said.
