Lennox Lewis, the famous British heavyweight boxer and the former undisputed heavyweight champion, shared his view on the approaching Klitschko vs Joshua fight. BoxingScene quoted his as saying on April 26.
‘Joshua didn’t have an extensive amateur career – it was only a short one. To me, there is a lot Anthony Joshua still needs to learn’, Lewis said. ‘He’s a big and strong guy who finishes his fights with KOs. All these heavyweights just wait for Wladimir to retire, but Joshua says – no, guys, I’m going after him. Wladimir has a lot of experience, and Anthony doesn’t have that much. Wladimir has been in this game for a while, and he could use that to win. Joshua, on the other hand, is in great shape, he’s fast and young. Wladimir is 41, and he’s not that great with the footwork. It’s a good time for such fight. I think it’s going to be a great fight,’ Lewis said.
The fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua will take place at Wembley stadium in London on April 29.
In only his 19th fight as a professional, Joshua will be defending his IBF title and bids to win the WBA and IBO belts from Klitschko.
