Ukraine’s famous boxer, the former heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko could meet with Cuban Luiz Ortiz – if the Ukrainian defeats his upcoming opponent Anthony Joshua.
‘The decision is the following: Joshua will fight Klitschko, the winner will have to face Ortiz,’ WBA president Gilberto J. Mendoza said as quoted by Sky Sports.
The undefeated Cuban, Ortiz, previously held the interim WBA 'regular' belt while Klitschko was the long-time holder of the organization’s 'Super' title, which he lost to Tyson Fury, who in turn made the belt vacant.
The bout between Klitschko and Joshua is slated for April 2017 in London.
