As Vasyl Lomachenko and Jorge Linares get ready for the fight in New York this weekend, the Venezuelan commented on the event and his spirit before the big day.
'You know, I can easily say I will not surrender. I will never give up. All these people around saying I will, but I'm not going to. I'm one of those who either with or on the shield,' he said as quoted by ESPN Los Golpes.
Earlier, the Ukrainian described the bout as a 'fight to come into history'. It will be his first fight in the lightweight division.
Lomachenko previously claimed titles in the super featherweight and featherweight title. Linares currently holds the belts of WBA and The Ring (lightweight division).
The fight will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York, on May 12.
