One of the most expected fights took place in the USA on March 16.  Mikey Garcia fought against Errol Spence for IBF world welterweight title.

The peculiarity of this fight is that both fighters are in the top ten of P4P. Mikey risked very much when agreed to a championship fight, “jumping” through two weight categories. And the risk did not play in his favor, as Errol Spence confidently won over his opponent. Despite the fact that both fighters are considered to have excellent strikes, the fight lasted the entire period. Spence was leading confidently, not allowing his opponent to find points for strikes during all 12 rounds

As a result, the judges selected Spence as a victor in this fight. He threw 1,082 punches for the fight, while Mikey was able to throw only 406 times.

Garcia was fighting for the first time since unifying the IBF and WBC world lightweight titles with a unanimous decision last July over Robert Easter in Los Angeles. He was trying to become a five-division champion.

Errol Spence called current WBA secondary titleholder Manny Pacquiao up into the ring and challenged him to a fight straight away after the fight. The Filipino agreed and said he was looking forward to their fight.
