The sprint stage at the European biathlon championship among women took place in the Polish town of Duszniki Zdroj. Ukrainian Yulia Dzhyma triumphed in the event, having hit all targets. Russians Svetlana Sleptsova and Irina Starykh came second and third, respectively.

Earlier today, Dzhyma’s teammate Anastasiya Merkushyna also won bronze in the individual event.
