Martin Fourcade, the renowned French biathlete seems to have showed certain degree of evil will towards Russian counterparts. During the World Cup stage in Hochfilzen, Austria, he tackled one of the Russians Alexandr Loginov (which actually had no impact on the latter’s performance in the race).
During the awards ceremony, the French once again showed his disfavor of the Russian team. He left the awards ceremony as the Russians approached the podium, but then he returned. Russian biathletes returned the favor and avoided shaking his hand, as the French sarcastically applauded for the Russian team that claimed bronze.
Fourcade has repeatedly urged to boycott Russian athletes due to the widespread practice of doping use, approved and supported by the Russian government.
