Manager of Zorya Luhansk FC Viktor Skrypnyk commented on the bitter defeat from Rapid Vienna in the first leg of UEFA Europa League fixture against Rapid Vienna.

"0-3 is too much. I believe we did not deserve this score. We should have scored several goals in return, but Rapid did not let us do it. Our opponent had three goals after three shots, a great index. The return leg will be tough, of course; but we'll try and do everything we can. It's a very bitter and painful defeat", Kronen Zeitung cited the Ukrainian coach.

The return leg of the fixture will take place in Ukraine next week. If Zorya loses again, it will play in the group stage of UEFA Conference League.

Earlier, Marlos, the Brazilian midfielder of Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine's national team announced the end of his international career. Press office of the team reported that on Thursday, August 19.

"I'm leaving the national team of Ukraine. It's a sad thing to tell but it's time to do so. A few people might know that I have certain physical problems and limitations related to the surgery that I had before; they wouldn't let me play as much as I'd love to. I would like to say thank you to everyone who gave me this chance four years ago - to be a Ukrainian and play for the national team. I am grateful to President of Ukrainian Association of Football Andriy Pavelko and ex-manager Andriy Shevchenko for their support and trust. I am thankful for all of my partners in the team; you guys became a real football family for me, my friends on and beyond the pitch, and you will remain forever. And, of course, I am grateful for all supporters of the national team of Ukraine", Marlos said.
