UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin has opened up on future plans for the postponed European Championship. This was reported by Goal.

"We intend to hold Euro 2020 in the initially planned cities. I am optimistic and confident: the closer we are to the final tournament of the European Championship, the more favorable the epidemiological situation is expected to be,” stated Čeferin.

The start of Euro 2020 is scheduled for June 11. The national team of Ukraine is expected to play in Budapest. It will face the national teams of the Netherlands, Austria, and Northern Macedonia.

As we reported earlier, on February 17, the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS) will hold a hearing on the appeal of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) against UEFA's decision to award the Ukrainian national football team a technical defeat in the League of Nations match against Switzerland.

The national team of Ukraine received its loss on November 25, 2020. The football match between Ukraine and Switzerland was canceled due to an outbreak of coronavirus infection in the Ukrainian team.
