President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with family members of the deceased defenders of Ukraine and missing citizens. The press service of the President's Office reports.

During the meeting, the President has noted that Ukraine is working to return as soon as possible all the people who are illegally detained in the temporarily occupied territories and in the Russian Federation.

"We really are filing in the lists for mutual release, so you just know everyone. There is no such thing that we are filing civilians, and the military is not. This is not true. Trust me. We will return everyone: both those who are alive and inanimate," Zelensky assured.

As we reported before, President Volodymyr Zelensky took part in events on the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders to commemorate the memory of the military who died in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine.

Zelensky noted that "such a wound on the body of Ukrainian history is unlikely to ever heal."
