Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau held a phone talk, during which the Canadian side promised to assist Ukraine in the fight against Covid-19 as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

Particularly, Trudeau stated the readiness to provide Ukraine with medical equipment and drugs. Besides, the Canadian PM promised Zelensky to provide assistance in the evacuation of the Ukrainians from Canada if they want to return home.

The parties expressed the willingness to coordinate the efforts of both countries to provide assistance and support in the fight against the coronavirus. Zelensky also revealed the measures assumed in Ukraine to protect the citizens from the virus.

Moreover, President Zelensky expressed sincere support for Justin Trudeau and his family, wishing his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau to recover as early as possible.

As we reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky held the phone talk with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer. They agreed on the supplies of the medical equipment to Ukraine.
