President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky

Due to the fact that soldiers that fight in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone received several times lower salaries until 2018 than after the specified period, pensions to the families of dead soldiers are charged unevenly - the president instructed the Cabinet to solve this problem. The press service of the head of the state informs.

“There is an injustice because the soldiers who died in the war in 2014-2018 then received a salary of a couple of thousand hryvnias. Therefore, the pensions that are now being received by their parents are very different from the pensions of the parents of those soldiers who died while receiving wages. $500, $600, $750," Zelensky said.
