"Every day, and especially today, on the Day of Armed Forces, every Ukrainian wholeheartedly tells you: ‘Thank you for your valor, courage and endurance, for our peaceful cities, for our peaceful villages, peaceful sleep and clear skies'," Zelensky said.
The President noted that Ukraine would definitely return its people and territories back. - "Donetsk is Ukraine, Luhansk is Ukraine, Crimea is Ukraine".
Zelensky recalled "what happens when a country does not care about the army and is not ready to defend its state interests". Therefore, after reaching the long-awaited peace, a powerful Ukrainian army will remain a priority, according to the President.
"We need you very much, and the state will do everything for you to feel it. To feel it in the conditions, in being armed, in worthy provision for you and your families. Regardless of the complexity of the combat tasks, let your close ones and relatives receive the following desired SMS message: "Everything is fine with me, everything is good," the head of state added.
As we reported earlier, Ukrainians marks the Day of Armed Forces on December 6.
The holiday was established on the day of the adoption of the law “On the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in 1991 and has been celebrated annually since then.
This document created a mechanism of formation of army from the military units that remained in Ukraine after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
