President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Jews on the New Year and expressed the hope that next year will be easier for everyone. The president wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"Dear Jewish citizens of Ukraine and everyone who celebrates Rosh Hashanah! Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the New Year 5781. For the safety and health of the most valuable people, we were forced to limit mass measures in the country, including part of the traditional celebration," the president said

Zelensky also thanked everyone for their understanding and interaction on important issues of collective safety.

"We believe that together we will definitely be able to overcome all the trials we faced, and next year we will return to the usual rhythm of life. I wish each of you a happy and sweet New Year," he added.

As we reported earlier, as of morning, September 15, 690 Hasidim trying to enter Ukraine stayed at the border with Belarus. The Border Guard Service expected the arrival of several more thousands of pilgrims.
