President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted Ukrainian miners with state awards for their significant personal contribution to strengthening the energy potential of the state, ensuring the sustainable operation of the coal industry, and high professionalism. The corresponding decree No. 367/2020 was signed by the Head of State on the occasion of the Miner's Day, according to the President’s office website.
Thus, the President awarded one miner the Order of Merit, II degree, five - the Order of Merit, III degree, twelve - the Order for Valiant Miner's Work, III degree, eight - the medal "For Labor and Valor" and one - the Order of the Princess Olga III degree.
In addition, one miner was awarded the honorary title "Honored Miner of Ukraine", another twelve - "Honored Miner of Ukraine".
"Our miners have always been the guards of the state's energy security. Your difficult and dangerous work is necessary and important. I am grateful for every second of light and degree of heat in our homes," the Head of State said.
As we reported before, President Zelensky signed a law to raise the minimum wage from September 1 to UAH 5,000 (180 USD).
