President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Vyacheslav Shtuchny, the former head of the parliament  staff as first deputy head of the State Security Department of Ukraine. The corresponding decree was published on the website of the head of state.

"To appoint Shtuchny Vyacheslav Vasilyevich as the first deputy head of the State Security Department of Ukraine," the document says.

The decree was signed on Monday, July 20.

As we reported before, today, on July 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially introduced the new Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Kyrylo Shevchenko and praised his candidacy.

"Today I am pleased to officially present the new head of the National Bank Kyrylo Shevchenko. As president, I fully support the statement that the head of the NBU should be independent. In addition to independence, the head of the NBU must have at least three other important qualities: professionalism, courage, and responsibility. I am convinced that Mr. Shevchenko is just the right kind of person," Zelensky said.
