An exhibition of the outstanding Ukrainian avant-garde artist Oleksandr Bohomazov will open at the National Art Museum of Lithuania under the patronage Ukrainian President's wife Olena Zelenska and the First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausediene. Support for the organization of the exhibition was provided by the Ministries of Culture of Lithuania and Ukraine, as the press service of the Ukrainian president reports.
“The famous Ukrainian avant-garde artist’s exhibition demonstrates the cultural ties between Ukraine and Lithuania, as well as introduces visitors to self-identical Ukrainian art. This is the opening of a new name for the Lithuanian public,” Zelenska said.
The exhibition presents 36 works by Oleksandr Bohomazov and five works from the Mystetskyi Arsenal collection.
This is the second exhibition of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian cultural project 'International Exhibitions' Cycle' by National Museums of Lithuania and Ukraine.
A memorandum on the launch of the third Ukrainian-language audio guide in the Republic of Lithuania was also signed as part of a cultural diplomacy project of president’s wife.
This year, the National Museum Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius will join the initiative to spread the Ukrainian language among touristic historical spots. Nowadays, excursion bus routes through Vilnius and Trakai Castle are already available in Ukrainian.
As it was reported earlier in February, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska announced the appearance of Ukrainian-language audio guides in the UAE.
At the end of March, Zelenska discussed with the First Lady of the French Republic Brigitte Macron the Ukrainian-language audio guides in France.
In April, during the official visit of the President of Ukraine to the State of Qatar, First Lady Olena Zelenska made sure that Ukrainian-language audio guides would soon be available in the country.
