Kyiv district court in Kharkiv keeps on looking into the case of Olena Zaitseva and Hennadiy Dronov. The jury already prepared the bill of indictment.

Both defendants are now in custody; the current detention period expires on February 10.

As is known, a Lexus ran over a group of pedestrians in Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, in October 2017. Olena Zaitseva who drove the Lexus violated the traffic rules, crashing into a Volkswagen Touareg, which threw her car towards the pavement. Both drivers survived, but Lexus ran over a group of eleven people. Six pedestrians deceased; another six were taken to a hospital with injuries of varying degree of severity.

Zaitseva appears to have violated traffic rules before; she was fined three times for such violations.
