Zaxidfest rock festival that was previously slated for June 25-26, is not going to take place on the specified dates. Yakiv Matviychuk, the festival's organizer said so in a statement on May 7.
"Of course, we're going to shift the festival due to this entire situation with the lockdown and pandemic... I'm currently working on moving it to late August or early September", he said.
Updates on new possible dates for the event will be published on its official accounts in social networks. Matviychuk also announced that video records from previous editions of Zaxidfest will be released online.
This edition of Sziget, the annual world-renowned festival of music, culture and art is also re-scheduled for 2021. It was supposed to take place in August; however, the Hungarian government extended the ban on pubic events until August 15, 2020, which rules out holding the festival this year.
The organizers announced this via the official Instagram account on May 4.
Organizers of Kyiv-based festivals Atlas Weekend and UPark also claimed that the respective events would be postponed until 2021.
