Former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will stay in a hospital for about three weeks, and he won’t say his last plea on the case for treason. Lawyer of ex-president Oleksandr Goroshynsky claimed this in a commentary to 112 Ukraine.
According to him, the lawyers are compiling necessary reference for the court.
"He is unable to move, he is set a removable plaster cast. According to the doctors, this is a serious injury, he will spend at least 21 days in the hospital. We will pass the court relevant documents," Goroshynsky noted.
As it was reported earlier, Yanukovych was delivered to Moscow’s Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine on November 16 in the immobilized state with suspected serious spinal injury, as well as a knee injury. As far as is known, he was injured while playing tennis at a famous Moscow tennis court, from where Yanukovych was taken to the hospital by an ambulance.
November 19, Obolonskyi District Court of Kyiv planned to hear the last plea of convicted for treason Yanukovych and go to the jury room for sentencing.
