"China has proposed a global mechanism on the mutual recognition of health certificates based on nucleic acid test results in the form of internationally accepted QR codes. We hope more countries will join this mechanism," Xi Jinping said.
He noted that for the provision of ‘the smooth functioning’ of the world economy during the pandemic, the countries need to coordinate a single set of policies and standards.
The Chinese president did not specify the offer or the system of QR codes or who should develop and launch it. However, he supposes that the use of such a technology of tracking will allow accelerating the international travel and holding of business during the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier in 2020, China introduced a mandatory practice of issuance of medical certificates on the basis of QR quote. The system that uses the electronic barcode for keeping the history of travels and health of a person helped to contain the spread of the virus in the country. The system issues the color code to users based on their potential exposure to the new coronavirus. The colors are like traffic lights -- green is safest, then amber, and finally red.
Some countries, including Australia, Japan, and Singapore introduced the tracking of the citizens’ movement and potential influence of Covid-19 with the help of the apps but there is no coordination between the systems and they have different success.
As we reported, within a week or two, Ukraine might be covered by a powerful epidemic wave of coronavirus.
