World Giving Index: Ukraine takes 90 place of 139

29% of the Ukrainians donate money to charity

Ukraine takes the 90th place of 139 in the World Giving Index 2017 according to the data of the international charity foundation Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

29% of the Ukrainians donate money to charity. According to the researchers, the number of the charity givers increased in Ukraine.

Myanmar heads the list four years running. According to the researchers, 91% of the citizens donated money, mostly the monks.

The second place is occupied by Indonesia and Kenya got the third place.

New Zealand, the US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, the UAE and the Netherlands make the TOP-10.

Russia takes 124th place in the rating and the last one is occupied by Yemen.

The World Giving Index 2017 rating shows the analyzed indexes of the previous year, 146 000 people from 139 countries were interviewed.

Today the world celebrates the International Day of Charity that was declared by the resolution of the UN General Assembly in 2012 to encourage the dialogue between people originated from different civilizations, cultures, religions and to increase the solidarity for charity.
