In Chernivtsi, law enforcement authorities prosecuted a local resident who disseminated false information about the coronavirus. The press service of the police of the Chernivtsi region reports.
A 59-year-old woman took part in a meeting of residents of one of the apartment buildings, in which the wife of a patient with a coronavirus stayed.
"Having no reliable facts about this disease, the woman disseminated false information through the media. Such actions could lead to social tension, disruption of public order and other negative consequences," - the report said.
Law enforcers compiled an administrative protocol under the article "Spreading false rumors." A woman faces a fine of 10 to 15 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or correctional labor for up to one month.

"The Center for Public Health received 9 reports of suspected coronavirus disease, but laboratory tests in the virological reference laboratory showed negative results, no one had coronavirus infection," - the report said.
