Wizz Air company opened the direct flight from Kyiv to Vienna. The press office of Kyiv Airport reported this on Facebook on Friday.
'The first flight from Kyiv airport is to take place this Sunday, October 28 at 9 a.m. The return flight from Vienna will land in Kyiv Airport at 1.35 p.m.', the message says.
The airport's press office added that the flight will be serviced on the daily basis; Airbus A320 aircraft will be used to serve it.
Wizz Air has been conducting passenger flights to and from Kyiv's International Airport named after Ihor Sikorsky since 2008.
Previously, the airport's administration announced flights to Bremen (Germany), Riga (Latvia) and Billund (Denmark) in March 2019. Besides, the company is to open the new destinations from Lviv airport to Copenhagen and Frankfurt.
