The Korona Karpat International Television Film Festival was held in Truskavets, western Ukraine. The closing ceremony and the awarding ceremony took place on November 10 at the local “Zlata” cinema house.
The film festival Grand Prix was awarded to the film "My Thoughts Are Silent," directed by Antonio Lukic. The performer of the main role in this film Irma Vytovska received the best actress prize. The film also received a prize for best directing.
Actor Oleh Shulha (film “Call Sign «Banderas”) received the best actor prize.
The film "Thirteenth Bus" (directed by Oleksandr Bezruchko, screenwriter Ihor Shcherbakov) received an award for the best screenplay.
The film "Anna" (directed by Oles’ Sanin) won the main award for the best short film.
The prize for the best short director was received by Yehor Bondarenko for his film "Bottle."
The film "Intolerance" (director Volodymyr Bakum) was recognized as the best student film.
In the nomination "For devotion to the native land and sincere love for cinema", the film "Trouble in Truskavets" was directed by Oleh Bachynsky.
As we reported earlier, Golden Globe Award's Longlist has been published. The list of Best Foreign Language Films, which includes 93 films from 65 countries, contains Nariman Aliev's drama "Homeward" - earlier the film was also included in the longlist of the Academy Award.
“Homeward” became the only Ukrainian candidate in the longlist of the Golden Glove Award.
