Kyiv City State Administration hosted the awards ceremony of the 48th edition of Molodist International Film Festival. The event, which is held annually in Ukraine, gathers numerous cinema experts from this country and abroad; this time was no exception.
This year marked the 48th edition of the festival; it was held from May 25 till June 2. Over these nine days, the viewers saw more than 200 films. The closing day's main picture was Rocketman, telling the story of the prominent British musician Elton John, portrayed by Taron Eggerton.
The Grand Prix, a ‘Scythian Lion’ award and a monetary prize of USD 10 000 went to Sauvage by Camille Vidal-Naquet (France). The film focuses on the story of male prostitution 'that the protagonist has to take up in order to find love and freedom he’s striving for', as the description on the Molodist' website put it.
