WikiLeaks founder Assange detained in London

The founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange was expelled from the territory of Ecuador’s Embassy in London, local police reported on his detention.

“On April 11, a 47-old Julian Assange was arrested by the officers of capital’s police in Ecuador’s Embassy,” the police reported.

He was taken into custody in the central police office in London where he will stay till he is be presented in the Westminster Magistrates Court as soon as it is possible.

The Justice Ministry was obliged to execute the arrest warrant on the behalf of the Westminster Court and was invited to the Embassy after Ecuador’s government denied asylum for Assange.

Julian Assange lived in Ecuador’s Embassy since 2012. He could not leave its territory as he would be immediately arrested for refusal to be present in the court in 2012. Besides, Washington is trying to get him. The U.S. opened a probe against him on disclosure of secret data of the Setae Department.
