The World Health Organization (WHO) urges the countries not to vaccinate people with the third dose of the vaccine against coronavirus at least until the end of September to avoid the significant gap between poor and rich countries in the vaccination of population as Reuters reported citing WHO Head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

"I understand the concern of all governments to protect their people from the Delta variant. But we cannot accept countries that have already used most of the global supply of vaccines using even more of it," Tedros added.

During the pandemic, the urge to introduce the moratorium for booster doses of the vaccine is the most resolute statement of the WHO. The organization offers to refuse from the principle when countries with the highest level of income get the majority of the vaccines in exchange to share them with poor countries.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Healthcare Minister Viktor Lyashko stated that Ukrainians will be inoculated with the third dose of Pfizer vaccine, as long as the WHO provides respective recommendations.
