The World Health Organization (WHO) is going to update the rules for coronavirus testing. This was stated by the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko at a briefing.
"Yesterday I completed negotiations with the WHO Regional Office for Europe. They promise to update the test protocol next week. The coronavirus test protocol will find a place for rapid antigen tests," he said.
It is worth noting that Ukraine's Covid-19 daily incidence rate might reach 3,000 cases at the end of September.
“Today, we have from 2,000 up to 2,500 infection cases daily. According to the calculations and predictions, at the end of September – the beginning of October this number will grow up to 3,000 infected daily. It will load the hospitals for over 80%,” Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said.
As we reported earlier, before the epidemiological season begins in Ukraine, 665,000 anti-flu vaccines are supposed to reach the country.
500,000 doses will be provided by French company VAXIGRIP TETRA. 45,000 doses of Influvac vaccine will come from the Netherlands. The Republic of Korea is supposed to send a total of 120,000 vaccines.
