The World Health Organization claimed a record growth of Covid-19-infected people over 24 hours. The number of newly infected patients made 230,370 newly infected people over 24 hours, Reuters wrote.

The overall number of the sick, thus, approached 13 million people worldwide. According to the study by researchers from Johns Hopkins University, more than 12.7 million people got infected.

The global death rate remained stable, some 5,000 people daily.

According to the WHO daily report, the largest daily spike of morbidity is observed in the U.S., Brazil, India, and South Africa

The previous record was observed on July 10, making 228,102 people getting infected over 24 hours.

During the first seven months of 2020, the global pandemic claimed the lives of more than 565,000 people.

As of the morning of July 12, 53 521 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Ukraine. Over the past day, Covid-19 was confirmed in 678 people. This is confirmed by the data of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).
