The first death from coronavirus outside of China was recorded in the Philippines - a 44-year-old man, who came from Wuhan, died. The Philippine branch of the World Health Organization stated this in the massage on a page on Twitter.
"The 44-year-old man was the second person in the Philippines to be diagnosed with the new 2019-nCoV coronavirus. He died on February 1, 2020," the report said.
As we reported before, China has reported an outbreak of deadly H5N1 avian influenza in Hunan Province, located on the southern border of Hubei Province, the epicenter of coronavirus. The South China Morning Post reports with reference to a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture of China.
The outbreak occurred on a farm in the Shuangqing district of Shaoyang city.
Also, China asked the EU for help with the supply of medicines to fight the new coronavirus.
President of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang appealed for "urgent assistance" to the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
It is noted that the request is addressed simultaneously to all countries that are part of the European Union.
