A pandemic is not a word that should be used easily or carelessly. This is a word that, if used improperly, can cause unreasonable fear or unjustified recognition that the struggle is over, which leads to unnecessary suffering and death,” - Gebreyesus.

WHO has conducted outbreak assessments around the clock and is concerned about the alarming rate of spread and complexity of the disease, as well as the level of inactivity.

As we reported before, Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, in the conditions of Covid-19 spread, created the situation room for coordination of the work of the ministry, involved authorities and international organizations to protect the citizens of Ukraine abroad

The situation room was created upon the initiative of Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

“Coronavirus is quick and dangerous. The Foreign Ministry, however, should be quick to guarantee the security of our citizens. That is why, today, I created the situation room in the ministry and pages of operative information. Firstly, for our citizens; wherever they stay, they should get the necessary information in time and should rely on the untrustable sources. Secondly, each citizen of Ukraine should feel the protection of the Ukrainian state, which will provide necessary support and aid,” the minister stated.
