Weekend quarantine might be introduced in Ukraine, - official

Due to the spread of the coronavirus infection, the weekend quarantine might be introduced in Ukraine as Head of the parliamentary committee on the health of the population and MP from Servant of the People faction Mykhailo Radutsky stated.

“The strict quarantine cannot be introduced in Ukraine. But we can impose weekend quarantine. When a family stays at home on the weekend, does not go anywhere: neither to restaurants nor to the concerns. We can withstand it; it is not the closure of the enterprises,” he said.

The politician also noted that the World Health Organization changed the criteria of quarantine zones; that is why the president will discuss the introduction of modern criteria.

“My second offer and it is supported by the NSDC and I hope, it will be supported by the president – it is the thing done by Shevchenko University. It sent students to distance learning. I believe that schools and universities should send students to distance learning,” Radutsky concluded.

As we reported, Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko changed the form of the education process, from classrooms to distance-based principle. The reason is the spreading of Covid-19 infection.
