Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine claimed that the education reform protects the national minorities and returns the Ukrainian language to the Ukrainians. He claimed this during his speech at the local communities' forum broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

'We adopted a new, ambitious education reform that carries extremely important work. It does not simply increase and make the modern education process interactive and flexible but also it returns the Ukrainian language to the Ukrainians from the childhood. We will protect the national minorities but each Ukrainian will speak the Ukrainian language. It is preferable to speak a few languages, no problems', Poroshenko claimed.

President Petro Poroshenko signed the law of Ukraine #2145-VII 'On Education' adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on September 5.

Hungary protests against the new ‘Law on education’ and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto claimed that the government of Hungary decided to block all further decisions of the EU that aim for the rapprochement of the EU with Ukraine. Also, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Poland and Moldova stood against this law.
