New York-based Tribeca Film Festival joiend efforts with YouTube and leading film festivals in order to hold the digital ten days-long event called We Are One: A Global Film Festival. The Tribeca organizers reported that on Facebook.
The program will feature films previously showed on Sundance, Cannes, Venice, and Berlin film festivals, as well as many others. Viewers will be able to discuss the films and donate funds for the organizations combating coronavirus.
The event is not any sort of replacement of those festivals that were canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic. It does not feature any premieres; instead, classic movies and films released in 2019 will be shown.
The broadcasts will be available on Youtube from May 29 till June 7. The program will be released later.
The 2020 edition of Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The orgzanization committee decided to re-schedule it for July 2-10, 2021.
A message on the festival's website says that some of the films may be seen in cinema theaters, and also during the Eastern Promises Industry Days forum. This year, it will be held in the online format on July 6-8.
