Wages of public officials not to be increased in 2019

The wages of the public officials will not be increased in 2019 as the law #2629-VII on state budget of Ukraine for the current year says.

“It is ordered to establish that in 2019 such estimated value as living wage established on January 1, 2018, is used for the establishment of the official salaries, wages, financial benefits of the public officials,” the law states.

As it is known the law on the state budget came into force on January 1. The budget foresees the incomes at the rate of approximately 36 billion U.S. dollars, including incomes of the general fund - 33,1 billion U.S. dollars and incomes of the special fund - 3,4 billion U.S. dollars

The budget also provides the expenses in the amount of almost 39 billion U.S. dollars, including the expenses of the general fund – 39,7 billion U.S. dollars and the expenses of the special fund amounting 3,8 billion U.S. dollars.

As it was reported, the Ukrainian Parliament passed the law about the state budget for the next year (bill No.9000). 239 MPs voted 'yes' in the second reading, 240 upheld it on the whole. The final voting took place in the early morning of Friday, November 23. The President of Ukraine signed the law on December 7.
