Volunteer gets shot in leg in Odesa

A shooting occurred on Vysotskoho Street in Odesa, yesterday, as a result of which, a man was shot in both legs. The website of the General Directorate of the National Police reports this. 

The wounded with the injuries in two legs was delivered to a hospital. He is provided necessary medical aid, and his life is not in danger now.

It is being decided to insert the information in the Unified Register of Pre-trial investigations under Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The Police keep investigating the site of the accident. Measures on the identification of criminals’ face are continuing.  

At the same time, Dumskaya outlet reports that they were shooting a volunteer Andriy Vahapov. The agency quotes Adviser of the Head of the National Police Ruslan Forostyak who claimed that probably, the shooting was carried out from a traumatic weapon.

‘As of now, nothing is threatening his life. He is hospitalized and made an x-ray, two shots from an unknown weapon are observed, probably, from a traumatic weapon,’ Fororstyak claimed. 

Vahapov himself claimed on Facebook that he got worse, the wound started bleeding. 

‘I passed out. Keeping me in the hospital,’ Vahapov said.
