Vandals spill animals’ blood over menorah in Kyiv

The incident occurred amidst the celebration of Hanukkah

The unknown vandals desecrated the monument of the menorah in Podil district in the Ukrainian capital on Sunday evening. They poured animals’ blood on it; according to the local Rabbi, several days before, they put a swastika on the monument.  

The incident involving religious hatred occurred amidst the celebration of Hanukkah, which in this year falls on December 12-20.

The police opened a case, considering the incident ‘the act of hooliganism’.
