The vandals are being identified.
According to the police, on December 30, the village chief of Prybuzke village turned to the police and desecrated about a hundred graves at the local graveyard. Investigation team reached the sit to look into the incident.
The culprits face possible detention for up to three years.
Earlier in December 2020, the memorial sign was opened in Hlevakha, Kyiv region, at the place of death of Amina Okueva as the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported.
The memorial was established at the same place where the car of Amina Okueva was shot on October 30, 2017. Deputy Interior Minister Anton Herashchenko, Adviser of Interior Minister Zoryan Shkiryak and mother of Okueva joined the solemn ceremony of the opening of the memorial sign.
“Today we opened the memorial sign at the place of death of real people’s Hero of Ukraine, our friend and battle sister Amina Okueva. She will always remain a symbol of patriotism, undestroyable will and fight for freedom of Ukraine and Ichkeria! Sincere gratitude to everyone who came to remember our Amina and everyone who helped to establish the memorial,” Shkiryak said.
