The unknown vandals damaged the monument to WWII victims in Tsyrkuny village, Kharkiv region. This is mentioned in the message on the website of the Chief Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region.

The incident occurred on late October 22, deputy head of Tsyrkuny rural council reported. The operative crew of the local police reached the site and inspected it. The perpetrators are now on the wanted list.

In July, the unknown damaged the plate on the monument of Mourning Angel of Chornobyl. The police opened a criminal proceeding under the article of Ukraine’s Criminal Code on vandalism. The article provides fines in the amount of 500-1000 times the minimum non-taxable income or the arrest for six months or five years of custody.
