Ukrainians will not be obliged to get the Covid vaccination certificates. Yaroslav Kucher, deputy healthcare minister reported that at a briefing on May 12.

"No one will make anyone process these certificates. But with this certificate, it will be easier to cross the border, and we feel that there is such a tendency", he said.

According to him, the certificate will be handed over via the Diya app. It can be received immediately after the vaccination. Besides, the Ministry works on a hard copy of the document - in cooperation with the Centre for Administrative Services.

Kucher also added that the Covid-certificates will be necessary for traveling in Europe; this could be arranged already this summer. On the other hand, the introduction of Covid certificates does not mean that the borders will be opened immediately. The EU is yet to make the decision.
