Vaccination against Covid-19 can become obligatory in Ukraine

The vaccination against Covid-19 in Ukraine can become obligatory – at least, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko does not exclude such scenario of events’ development as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

“I suppose,” Lyashko answered to the question about the possibility of the obligatory vaccination in the country.

According to the minister, the government can introduce such demands for particular categories of professions.

“It is the contingent that can come to work after the full course of vaccination against particular infectious diseases. Such variants are being considered but we take the experience of the EU and the U.S.: when the restrictions are introduced but they are no applied toward vaccinated people,” Lyashko said.

As we reported, over 98% of Ukrainians, who were hospitalized with coronavirus over the last three months, were not vaccinated as Ihor Kuzin, the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine reported.

Besides, as of September 21, 2021, the level of incidence with Covid-19 is exceeded in 22 regions of Ukraine.
