The USA tested a brand new MALD-X missile, which is capable of trick air defense systems. The press office of the US Ministry of Defense reports.
According to the agency, the successful flight of the rocket was undertaken on the basis of naval aviation Point Mugu offshore the State of California on August 20 and 22.
The MALD-X rocket, which is usually called unmanned simulator has been developed by Raytheon company. The company received a contract of $34.8m for the development in 2016. The missiles are capable of imitating different types of air assets, including enemy's own aircraft. This allows misleading the detection and air defense systems.
