US suspects Russia in hacker attacks on nuclear power plants

Russia can be involved in hacker attacks of the computer systems of more than dozens nuclear power plants of the USA, including the nuclear site Wolf Creek. Bloomberg reported this citing three sources acknowledged with the situation.

According to them, hackers who work for foreign government gained entry to the company that produces facilities management system, which are used in energy industry. The attack aimed to destroy the energy supply of the country.

'The main suspect is Russia. Despite all other things, the nuclear site Wolf Creek that is situated in Kansas underwent the cyber attack. The possibility that it was Russia triggers concern because Russian hackers were involved in the cyber attacks of the Ukrainian energy supply. Possibly they exercised the modern techniques of energy supply disabling', the sources noted.

It is unknown whether the President of the USA will raise this issue during the conversation with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin or not.
