Huawei and its CEO Meng Wanzhou were charged under 23 articles.
“The Justice Department charged Huawei and its chief financial officer with conspiring to violate U.S. sanctions on Iran by doing business through a subsidiary it tried to hide,” the news agency reads.
Besides, they are accused of corporate espionage, of trying to steal commercial data of the American company T-Mobile in 2012. Huawei explains that both of the companies settle their disputes in 2017.
In its turn, the official Beijing stated that the charges against Huawei are “unfair and immoral” and called for ceasing unreasonable pressure on the Chinese companies.
