The U.S. criticized the Russian vaccine against coronavirus. Counselor to the U.S. President Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway stated that the Russian vaccine has not passed all necessary trials, as Fox News reported.
“Our FDA in our country sets the standards and what I understand from the Russian announcement is this is nowhere near where we are. We have six vaccines in Phase 3. And [the Russians] don't seem to be there yet,” Conway said.
On August 11, President of Russia Vladimir Putin reported that the first vaccine against coronavirus was registered in Russia.
It is noted that the vaccine would be produced by N. F. Gamaleya Federal Research Center for Epidemiology & Microbiology and Russian Binnopharm Company. According to Murashko, finalizing takes place of the technical regulations for scaling of production at the number of Russian productions.
As of the end of July, 139 vaccines were at the stage of preclinical trials, while 25 are tested clinically and six of them maximally approached to the practical application and stay on the third stage of trials.
