From July 14 to August 23, large-scale military exercises of the American armored forces will take place in Poland, as the Ministry of National Defense of Poland reports.
The purpose of strategic maneuvers in Poland is to test the ability of the US Army to quickly respond and deploy its forces anywhere in the world. The battalion will verify its readiness to deploy troops across the Atlantic as part of allied assistance to European countries.
The training of American troops will take place at the Polish training ground in Dravsko-Pomorsk. The exercises are seen as another opportunity to deepen tactical cooperation between American and Polish soldiers.
From the American side, about 500 soldiers of the 2nd battalion, 12th cavalry regiment, 1st battle group of the tank brigade, 1st cavalry division will take part in the maneuvers. Poland will send for training soldiers of the 17th mechanized brigade from Miedzyrzecz and the 12th mechanized brigade from Szczecin.
