The underground strikes continue in four mines of Kryvyi Rih iron ore integrated plant, southeastern Ukraine. There are 195 mines staying under ground, and it's been day 12 since the protests began. Mykhailo Volynets, the Ukrainian MP and the head of the Miners' Trade Union posted this on Facebook.
According to the official, an ambulance car arrived on a call from Zhovtneva mine - one of the four mines where the protests continue (Zhovtneva, Batkivshchyna, Ternivska and Hvardiyska).
Volynets also claimed that miners of Kryvyi Rih iron ore integrated plant recorded the video appeal to members of the European Parliament, asking to protect their civil and labor rights.
The department said that the best way to pay off the debt to the miners has been found - through amendments to the law on the state budget.
It is noted that the funds will be paid, and the people who brought the enterprise to the crisis will answer according to the law, the department noted. The Ministry of Energy has already transferred the audit materials testifying to violations to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
